Divemaster

This course enables the technical diver to engage in the diving operation under the immediate direction of an Instructor.

Assistant Instructor

This course enables the diver or Divemaster to work towards gaining a Professional Instructor qualification. An Instructor will conduct the required training to the level required and an Instructor Trainer will evaluate the Assistant Instructor.

Instructor

PSAI training is supported by an instructor training program designed to ensure the potential instructor has the full understanding and practical skills to teach PSAI courses. The pre-requisite is a minimum of an open water instructional qualification from a recreational agency and the diver qualification for the area the instructor wishes to teach. The instructor qualification is taught and evaluated by an Instructor Trainer.

Instructor Trainer

This qualification is awarded to an instructor following sponsorship of the regional office and assessment by a headquarters appointed Examiner.

Instructor Trainer Examiner

This qualification is an appointment following assessment by HQ staff only and will be for senior Instructor Trainers who are appointed to assess Instructor Trainers.
